Wiltshire Council Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Temporary Closure of: A3102 (Part), Royal Wootton Bassett (Ref: TTRO 8628) Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: A3102 (Part), Royal Wootton Bassett; from its roundabout junction with B4042 to its junction with New Road. To enable: Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing, road marking, loop cutting and associated works. Alternative route: via A3102 (unaffected length) – B4005 – A4361 – A4 – A3102 (unaffected length) and vice versa. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order which previously came into operation on 08 August 2022 will now recommence on 27 March 2023 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 23:59 until 06 April 2023 on weekdays only. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order has a maximum duration of 18 months.
